Julio Ugarte / Director
Formerly ranked #4 nationally in Peru, Julio has been a USPTA and USPTR certified tennis professional in the Miami area since 1999. Since moving to Miami, he has coached adult and junior players at Coral Gables Country Club, Riviera Country Club, and the Biltmore Tennis Center in Coral Gables.
Julio was the private coach of Camila Giorgi of Italy, a top 100 WTA player, and has since been coaching several top ranked American junior players. Julio loves to work with players of all ages and abilities. While his passion is teaching advanced junior players, Julio is widely experienced in teaching children and beginners the fundamentals of tennis.
Berkeley Brock Ugarte / Director
Berkeley Brock is a USPTR and USTA QuickStart certified tennis professional and former #1 player for NC State University. She obtained high NCAA Division 1 rankings in both singles and doubles during her career.
Berkeley coached junior and adult players at the Jane Forman Tennis Academy (JFTA) from 2010 to 2014. She was the assistant girls' and boys' tennis coach for Riviera Prep Middle School in 2012, and she assisted in developing the USTA Junior Training Program at JFTA, which utilizes the QuickStart tennis format for 10 and Under players.
Berkeley is currently the Head Tennis Professional at Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club in Coral Gables.
Nathaly Milla / Tennis Coach
Nathaly was born and raised in Lima, Peru but moved to Miami to pursue a higher education in 2004. Since the age of 7, she's been passionate about tennis. While living in Lima, Nathaly was a member of the Federacion Deportiva Peruana de Tenis and traveled across South America playing tournaments, achieving a top 20 national ranking. Since moving to the United States, Nathaly has been active teaching tennis at summer camps and year-round at elementary schools.
Alfredo Perez / Tennis Coach
Alfredo is currently a junior development coach at the Biltmore Tennis Center in Coral Gables. He grew up playing tennis in Cuba, where he achieved a high national ranking. Alfredo has coached his son, Alfredo Jr., to a top 20 national ranking in the boy's 16's division. His son was the champion of the prestigious Eddie Herr International tennis tournament last year and was invited to train in Boca Raton at the National USTA Training Center on a full scholarship. Alfredo specializes in teaching children ages 5 and older.
Martin Escobedo / Tennis Coach
Martin played competitive junior tennis in Peru since the age of 8. He was one of the top players in the nation in the boys' 18 and under division. After moving to the U.S. in 2001, he became USPTR-certified to coach junior players.
His sense of humor and love for the sport make him an exceptional instructor. Martin coaches all around Miami, giving private and semi-private classes to players of all ages and levels. He also continues to play international ITF adult tournaments to this day and competes against many of the best players in Miami as a 5.0 league player.
